The Problem Worth Solving
Every piece of financial data that a fund manager uses to analyse an Indian stock β annual reports, quarterly results, shareholding patterns, bulk deals, delivery volumes, FII flows β is publicly available. You have access to exactly the same raw data.
What you don't have is the framework to interpret it. A fund manager doesn't read a P/E ratio in isolation β they cross-check it against EV/EBITDA, normalise it for debt, run it through a reverse DCF, and benchmark it against the broader index. That multi-step analytical process is what separates a conviction trade from a guess.
Finmagine is that framework, built specifically for listed Indian companies.
The core insight
A great company is not automatically a great investment. The price you pay determines your returns. Finmagine shows you not just what a stock is trading at, but why the market is pricing it that way β and whether that pricing is justified.
Two Ways to Use Finmagine
Finmagine delivers its analysis layer through two connected products:
The Web App β finmagine.com
The full platform: Stock Intelligence pages for every listed company, a Smart Screener across 1,200+ stocks, Company Rankings, Portfolio Tracker, Morning Brief, Watchlist/Feed, Premium Reports, and the Education Hub. Use it for deep research, screening, and portfolio-level decisions.
Explore a Stock βChrome Extensions β On Screener.in
Three free extensions that work directly on Screener.in pages: AI Advisor (18 structured prompt templates pre-loaded with the company's data), Chart Builder (instant visual charts from Screener data), and Trader (momentum scanner). Zero data collection β everything runs in your browser.
See the Extensions βThe two products are complementary. The web app is where you do structured research. The extensions are where you get AI-powered analysis instantly while browsing Screener.in.
Stock Intelligence β The Core
Every listed Indian company on Finmagine has a dedicated Stock Intelligence page at finmagine.com/stock/SYMBOL. This is the central analytical layer β everything you need to evaluate a company in one place.
The Intelligence Block
At the top of every stock page sits the Intelligence Block β a structured summary assembled from live data: rating, sector, market cap, PE, D/E, ROCE, ROE, OPM, promoter holding, FII stake, pledge %, 3yr and 5yr profit CAGR, ratio health across 29 parameters, anomaly flags, and a reverse DCF verdict. This block is also what gets injected into every AI Advisor prompt, so the LLM never works blind.
What's on the Stock Page
- Overview tab β Key metrics, latest quarter results (Revenue/NP/OPM with QoQ+YoY), price chart with valuation overlays (PE, P/B, MCap/Sales, FCF Yield)
- Financials tab β P&L, balance sheet, cash flow β annual and quarterly, with trend indicators
- Ratios tab β 35+ ratios categorised by Liquidity, Leverage, Profitability, Efficiency, and Growth β each flagged Excellent/Good/Average/Poor against historical benchmarks
- Valuation tab β PE zone, EV/EBITDA, PEG ratio, Nifty 50 benchmark comparison, Reversed DCF (what growth rate the market is pricing in), and Scenario Valuation (bull/base/bear over 3 years)
- Activity tab β Returns vs Nifty 50, delivery volume analysis, bulk/block deals, shareholding trend, dividend history, corporate actions, regulatory announcements
- Documents tab β Annual reports, concall transcripts, credit ratings, announcements β all linked directly
- AI Advisor tab β 18 structured prompt templates, ready to copy to Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini/Perplexity
Why multi-lens valuation matters
A stock can look "very cheap" on PE and still be fairly valued. That happens when the debt-adjusted EV/EBITDA is at its historical median β the PE discount is an illusion created by leverage. Finmagine's valuation tab shows all five lenses simultaneously, so you see the full picture, not just the flattering angle.
AI Advisor: 18 Templates, Full Context
The AI Advisor is available both on the web app (Stock Intelligence page β AI Advisor tab) and as a Chrome extension that works on Screener.in.
It provides 18 structured prompt templates, each designed to answer a specific analytical question. Before you send a single word to the LLM, the prompt is already pre-loaded with the company's Intelligence Block β ratios, valuation flags, reverse DCF, financial history, recent announcements, and document links. The LLM doesn't need to guess what company you're asking about.
Template groups
Full Due Diligence
Comprehensive Analysis, Sector & Theme (Porter's Five Forces + MOAT), Red Flag Detector (forensic AR scan), Peer Comparison, Management Credibility Score
Quick Conviction Check
Risk-Reward Analysis, Growth Triggers (5β7 catalysts with conviction levels), Forensic Governance
New Position Sizing
Investor Panel β 6 legendary investors debate in 3 rounds. Consensus + sharpest disagreement mapped.
Deep Research / Specialist
Deep Research, Quarterly Deep-Dive, Management Quality, Value Chain Analysis, IPO Decoder, Business KPIs, Ask Anything
One discipline that matters: one focused question per prompt. LLMs pay lip service to the middle of long, multi-part prompts. Each template is designed around a single analytical objective so the output is sharp, not scattered.
Screener + Company Rankings
Smart Screener
The screener covers 1,200+ listed Indian companies across 30+ fundamental parameters β ROCE, ROE, OPM, D/E, revenue growth, PAT growth, market cap, and more. A global quality floor (ROCE β₯ 10%, ROE β₯ 10%, OPM β₯ 10%, D/E β€ 0.75) is applied by default so results don't surface low-quality businesses unless you explicitly override it.
Built-in presets: Magic Formula, Graham Net-Net, Consistent Compounders, Coffee Can, Turnaround Watch, Hidden Champions, and more. Every result links directly to the company's Stock Intelligence page.
Company Rankings
Every company in the Finmagine universe is ranked by the Finmagineβ’ scoring system β a 21-parameter framework that evaluates profitability, growth, leverage, efficiency, and valuation. Each parameter is scored Excellent / Good / Average / Poor, and the aggregate determines overall rank. Free users see the top 20. Premium unlocks the full ranking.
Portfolio, Morning Brief, Watchlist
Portfolio Tracker
The portfolio tracker goes beyond simple P&L. It offers cost-basis-aware sell signals (7 signal types including overvaluation, governance flags, and momentum breakdown), a vintage cohort view (group holdings by first-buy year to see which cohorts are compounding vs dragging), and a rolling CAGR matrix β a triangular heatmap of annualised returns across holding periods.
Morning Market Brief
Every trading day, the Morning Brief assembles a structured snapshot before markets open: India indices, FII/DII flows, sector movers, bulk and block deals, upcoming earnings, and an AI-generated brief that interprets the data rather than just listing it. The AI tab is premium-gated; the data tabs are public.
Watchlist Feed
The Watchlist Feed aggregates SAST trades, insider trades, corporate actions, and earnings results specifically for the companies in your watchlist β filtered to what matters, not the full market firehose.
Premium Company Reports
Finmagine has 71+ deep-dive company reports covering India's top companies across sectors. Each report includes:
- Executive summary with investment rating
- 44+ financial ratios with trend analysis
- Business model and competitive positioning
- Web Cornucopiaβ’ scoring β 21-parameter qualitative assessment
- Risk factors and investment thesis
Five reports are free: HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Titan, Laurus Labs, and Pidilite. All others require a premium subscription.
