📊 MIXED Itron Q1 2026: Revenue $587M, Adj. EBITDA $92M, EPS $1.49
Revenue & Profitability
Q1 2026 GAAP revenue was $587 million, above guidance due to acceleration of first-half projects. GAAP net income was $53 million ($1.18 per diluted share). Non-GAAP operating income was $84 million, adjusted EBITDA was $92 million, and free cash flow was $79 million. Non-GAAP EPS was $1.49 per diluted share. Segment revenue: Device Solutions $124 million (down 9% YoY), Networked Solutions $351 million (down 14%), Outcomes $96 million (up 20% constant currency), Resiliency Solutions $16 million.
Outlook
Management is confident in a multi-year structural investment cycle for grid modernization driven by aging infrastructure, distributed energy resources, AI-driven demand, and weather volatility. Utility distribution spending is expected to grow at least through the end of the decade. The opportunity funnel remains outsized from historical levels. However, volatility domestically and globally creates risks, and the year is expected to be back-half loaded with network deployments.
Growth Drivers
Key growth drivers include the Outcomes segment (up 22% YoY) and strong adoption of flexible and intelligent solutions. Gas in North America is particularly strong with more than 5x the number of endpoints in flight. Water Europe and electricity Asia Pacific are also strong. The new Resiliency Solutions segment contributed $16 million in revenue and is on track with integration. The SPARK DOE program is replacing GRIP projects, supporting electricity market activity.
Balance Sheet & CapEx
Not discussed in this earnings call.
Margins
Adjusted gross margin was 40.7%, up 490 basis points year-over year due to favorable mix and operational efficiencies. Segment adjusted gross margins: Device Solutions 35.4% (record), Networked Solutions 40.8%, Outcomes 41.7%, Resiliency Solutions 73%. Operating margins: Device Solutions 29.7%, Networked Solutions 31.4%, Outcomes 23.3%, Resiliency 27%. Q2 non-GAAP EPS guidance is $1.25-$1.35 per diluted share.
Key Risks
Management noted risks from domestic and global volatility, which creates crosswinds. Lower interest income negatively impacted EPS by $0.13 year-over-year. The year is back-half loaded, with dependency on network deployments for growth. Acquisitions integration is a priority but carries execution risk. The cancellation of certain GRIP projects was noted, though they are being replaced by the SPARK program.

Financial Model
Projections are built from each company's audited annual financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) over the last 5 fiscal years. Forward assumptions — revenue growth %, EBITDA margin, D&A (USD millions), interest expense, tax rate, and capex — are AI-generated using historical context and refreshed twice a year: after the December results season and after the September/Q4 results season.

DCF Valuation
Fair Value = Σ(FCFt / (1+WACC)t) + Terminal Value. Terminal Value uses the Gordon Growth Model: FCF5 × (1+g) / (WACC−g). Default WACC: 10% (US risk-free ~4.5%, equity risk premium ~5.5%). Default terminal growth: 3% (long-run US nominal GDP proxy).

CAGR Tracker
Expected 5-year CAGR = (DCF Fair Value / Current Price)1/5 − 1. Assumes fair value is reached in exactly 5 years — a mechanical estimate only.
