📊 MIXED Q1 2026: Revenue $361M (+1% YoY), adj. EBITDA margin 22%, AI transformation accelerating.
Revenue & Profitability
Q1 2026 net revenue was $361 million, up 1% year-over-year. Net income was $18 million (5% margin), down 27% YoY. Adjusted EBITDA was $79 million (22% margin), down 7% YoY. Services ad revenue grew 1% to $234 million, while RR&O ad revenue declined 11% to $99 million. Other revenue surged 75% to a record $29 million. Paying advertising locations fell 6% to 485,000.
Outlook
Management expects the challenging economic environment for local businesses to persist into Q2 and the rest of 2026, impacting advertising revenue across categories. The Middle East conflict caused softness in March advertiser budgets, but April trends improved in line with seasonal patterns. Full-year net revenue guidance is $1.455-$1.475 billion, with adjusted EBITDA of $310-$330 million.
Growth Drivers
Key growth levers include AI-driven revenue streams: Yelp Assistant (now 15% of request-to-quote projects, up from 5% last year), Yelp Host (market opportunity over $1 billion in the US), Hatch ($34 million annual run rate in March, up 92% YoY), and data licensing (new deals including OpenAI). Food ordering through DoorDash grew 88% YoY. The company targets a $250 million annual other revenue run rate by end of 2028—more than double Q1 2026 levels.
Balance Sheet & CapEx
Not discussed in this earnings call.
Margins
Q1 2026 adjusted EBITDA margin was 22%. Management expects strong growth in adjusted EBITDA margin over the next several years, driven by AI-driven operational efficiencies (e.g., faster product development, productivity in sales/marketing and G&A) and higher-margin revenue streams from other revenue. Stock-based compensation as a percentage of revenue declined 2 points YoY to 8%, with a target of below 6% by end of 2027. Q2 2026 margin is expected to be lower due to increased investment and marketing spend.
Key Risks
Risks flagged include the persistent challenging operating environment for local businesses, which is impacting advertising revenue. The Middle East conflict caused budget softness in March, contributing to a 10% decline in ad clicks and a 6% drop in paying locations. Declines in RR&O ad revenue (-11%) and uncertainty about the economic outlook are key headwinds. Management also noted that Hatch acquired in February carries integration and acquisition-related payments.

Financial Model
Projections are built from each company's audited annual financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) over the last 5 fiscal years. Forward assumptions — revenue growth %, EBITDA margin, D&A (USD millions), interest expense, tax rate, and capex — are AI-generated using historical context and refreshed twice a year: after the December results season and after the September/Q4 results season.

DCF Valuation
Fair Value = Σ(FCFt / (1+WACC)t) + Terminal Value. Terminal Value uses the Gordon Growth Model: FCF5 × (1+g) / (WACC−g). Default WACC: 10% (US risk-free ~4.5%, equity risk premium ~5.5%). Default terminal growth: 3% (long-run US nominal GDP proxy).

CAGR Tracker
Expected 5-year CAGR = (DCF Fair Value / Current Price)1/5 − 1. Assumes fair value is reached in exactly 5 years — a mechanical estimate only.
